Original Apple-1 Computer up for Auction at VCF 4.0!
The VCF is proud to be presenting an original Apple-1 computer for
auction at VCF 4.0!
This computer is complete, featuring all the components necessary
for a functioning and usable machine. The lot features:
- "Apple Computer 1" Motherboard
- Cassette Interface Board
- Apple-1 Operation Manual
- Preliminary Apple BASIC Users Manual
- Apple-1 BASIC on Cassette
- Original Apple-1 Advertisement
- Hitachi 12" Monochrome Monitor (actually a television converted for use with this Apple-1)
- (2) Triad Brand Transformers (as specified in the Apple-1 manual)
- SPDT Power Switch, Fuse Holder and AC Power Cord (as shown in the
Apple-1 schematic)
This Apple-1 is the last remaining of an order of 15 placed by
Indiana computer-chain store owner Ray Borrill in late 1976. It was
used as a display model and has thus never been in use anywhere. The
computer is believed to still be in operational order (verification
of this will be posted soon).
