Because of the specific audience that the Vintage Computer Festival is targeting, this is a prime venue for marketing old computers, peripherals, manuals and software that are sitting in closets and back rooms collecting dust. The venue is indoors with ample lighting and each vendor space features an electrical hook-up. Security personnel are present during the off-hours of the event to insure against damage or theft to inventory items. Each space at the Vintage Computer Festival Marketplace measures 10' x 10' and features an electrical outlet. Booth rental is $150.00 for the weekend until September 15th, and $200 after that. 8' tables are available for rent at an additional $10 per day; chairs will be provided at no extra cost. Spaces are limited and are assigned on a first come, first served basis, so we suggest you make your reservations as far in advance as possible. Please refer to the vending booth layout below when making a reservation. Consignment Sales The VCF also maintains a consignment selling area. If you have something to sell that doesn't warrant renting an entire booth to do so, let the VCF sell it for you! There's no charge if it doesn't sell, but if it does we take 15% of the sale as a fee and the rest goes to you. There's no easier way to sell your old computer stuff. Here's how it works: On Saturday, September 30, come to the Vintage Computer Festival with your items and ask for the consignment area. From there you will fill out a simple form describing what you're selling and how much you want for it. We'll then put it out for sale. All you need to do is come back at the end of the day (5:00pm) on Sunday, October 1. If your item was sold, we give you your money minus a 15% consignment fee. If it didn't sell, you take your item back and there is no further obligation. For more information, send e-mail to consignment@vintage.org. Seller's Permit Vendors must have a valid California Seller's Permit in order to sell items at the Vintage Computer Festival. Occasional sellers (those who only sell items to clear out a garage for instance) are exempt, but please check with the Board of Equalization to be sure you meet the criteria of an occasional seller. If you do not currently have a permit, you can obtain one either in person or by mail from any office of the Board of Equalization. It is your responsibility to determine if you are required to have a Seller's Permit to sell at the VCF. The VCF cannot assist you with this, so for more information, please contact: State of California Reservations To reserve a space, please call (888) 742-6642 x300 or send e-mail to vendor@vintage.org for more information on availability, regulations, and methods of payment. We look forward to seeing you at the Vintage Computer Festival!
