The Vintage Computer Festival maintains an extensive archive of
computing artifacts. The artifacts and materials in our collection
are offered for use in academic and scientific research projects.
Included in the archive are:
- Over 2,000 individual computers spanning 35 years of computer development
- Over 8,000 computer books from as early as 1860
- Over 20,000 computer and electronics magazines spanning 75 years
- Thousands of micro-, mini- and mainframe computer manuals
- Thousands of programs and applications software on disks, tapes and carthridges for hundreds of computer platforms
- Also: video game systems, ephemera (posters, t-shirts, buttons), more!
Some highlights of the collection include:
- Quite possibly the most comprehensive Y2K literature collection on the planet
- A complete and comprehensive collection of video game consoles from the Magnavox Odyssey to the Sony PlayStation
- A comprehensive sample of data storage media and computer memory artifacts
