The Vintage Computer Festival is an annual Silicon Valley event celebrating our computer heritage.  Our mission is to encourage the preservation of obsolete computers and software, to promote interest in researching and documenting the history of the computer age...and to have fun playing with old iron.  Let us return now to those thrilling days of yesteryear, when geeks were geeks and floppies were really floppy.

What's happening at VCF 3.0

October 2nd & 3rd
9am through 6pm daily
Santa Clara Convention Center
Santa Clara, California

Exhibition Area

The exhibition area will be packed with historic computers. Many of these machines will be fully operational so you can experience the hands-on thrills of vintage computing.  Exhibit hours are 2:00pm to 6:00pm.

Computer Flea Market

In addition to the computers in the exhibition, you'll find a lively vintage computer flea market where collectors can buy, sell and trade their historic treasures.  Flea market hours are 2:00pm to 6:00pm.

Speakers

Throughout the two day show, computer historians and notable figures in the computer industry will present talks, discussions and workshops where you can learn about the computers of the past and the people who developed them.   Speakers and seminars run from 9:00am until 2:00pm.

Schmooze

And, of course, you'll have a chance to meet other collectors and swap stories, tips and techno-lore.

In short, we're talking geek heaven.

Donate Your Old Computer Stuff to the Vintage Technology Cooperative Resource Center

If you're like most long-time computer users, you've probably got a bunch of old computer gear cluttering up your garage or basement. Why not donate it to the Vintage Technology Research Cooperative Resource Center?  We'll provide a comfy retirement home where it will be preserved and cared for. We're looking for old computers, peripherals, software, manuals, books, magazines, and other computer ephmera - anything relating to the history of the development of computers.  We'll even take the really big stuff. If your company is upgrading its systems and planning on dumping that old mainframe, suggest that they contact us rather than the scrap yard.
